Lure of Money has robbed us of our sense of dignity

Persons coming with charity to our country are given red carpet welcome without giving a thought whether we really need it and even if we need why should be accept from the others when we have equally wealthy people adoring Forbe's list of the richest in the world. We don't mind the aid coming from British who themselves are deep in recession. Japan even in dire strait refused to accept donations while we gleefully accept even in the best of the times and will look forward to more. Money has robbed us of our sense of dignity and pride what one saw in plenty in our Japanese brethren.

MY ONLY ASSET IS MY INTEGRITY-Justice Kapadia

In this age of eroding values this one liner is really heart warming and elevates the soul especially after you come to know that this comes from the man who is the Chief Justice of India.

Justice kapadia came from a poor family and started his career as a class IV employee. The one description that always tagged him is-he is utterly honest and is a man of impeccable integrity.

What separates him from others who are impeached in the allegations of corruption – he looked for self actualization in the career he had chosen. He took the remuneration that went with the career, without trying to compete with successful businessmen and industrialists.

We need to salute such persons and tell about them to our children also so that they their faith in honesty remains unshaken.

All of us as Nations are gifted with different tempraments-ongoing World Cup

Some raise their performance level at the time of big events-like Newzeland and Aussie.
others perform very well and look promising when an ordinary event is in progress but there is an astounding fall in their performance in the big event like ICC title-I hope you should be able to guess it.
Then there are other nations like Pakistan who are so divided that their own players can't digest for a long that their team is doing well. They will do some thing or the other downright silly to put their captain and in the process their country down.

This is exactly where PM has failed

Former Supreme Court Judge Mr. Krishna lyre’s campaign for the removal of KG BalaKrishnan’s from the post of Chairperson of national Human rights Commission needs to be taken forward by all. Your editorial is well timed. Hon'ble Justice Mr. Iyer is absolutely on point when he says "Suspician is a upas tree under whose shade reason fails and justice dies" His being under the cloud of suspicion itself constitutes enough ground for his removal. By now our PM should have acted but unfortunately he has not done in keeping with his style of working-i.e. to act when the issue is already hijacked by the opposition for their personal gains.

Publicizing big fat marriages

When media publicizes big fat marriages it severely damages the cause of woman foetus.

No other factor is as much responsible for skewing gender ratio as the Indian marriages in which girl’s father even after having a highly accomplished daughter is at the receiving end.

All linked with media need to ponder over and pass a resolution to not give publicity to such marriages where money is squandered, even if it means loss of advertisement revenue.
